Description: A sitar of the kachua-type long-necked sleeve lute, the word “kachua” refers to the resonator cut in a horizontal and not vertical plane. This atypical instrument has a second, smaller neck attached to the right of the main shaft. This lute has fifteen frets that are tied onto its neck. The body of the instrument is carved in the manner of a violin.

A second neck running parallel to the main neck, is affixed to the neck. A total of four strings mounted on the head stock with wooden friction tuning pegs. A bone tail piece is affixed to the body at the back of the instrument. Two bridges or jawara is added in the finishing stages of this instrument on both necks.
