Description: The sring [in Armenian: սրինգ] the name of this flute is also transliterated as srink. It is a shepherd’s flute originating in Eastern Armenia [the Caucasus region]. Sring is also the common term for end-blown flutes in general. These flutes are made either of a stroke bone, bamboo, wood from the apricot tree or cane and have seven or eight finger holes, producing a diatonic scale.
