Description: The basoi [basui] is a braced bow played by the Iban people of central Sarawak, Malaysia.
Construction: The basoi has a resonator that, affixed to a wooden disc . In turn this rests on a ceramic or metal bowl as a resonator. The string is tapped or plucked with a plectrum.
