Description: Binzasara [in Japanese: Kanji 編木 or Hiragana 板ざさら] It is a traditional Japanese percussion instrument used in folk songs, rural dances and kabuki theatre.
Construction: The assembly of this instrument utilized many pieces of wooden plates, strung together with a cotton cord. With handles attached to the cotton cord at both ends, the stack of wooden plates are played by moving them like a wave.
