Description: The robe is a jaw harp that is played in the island of Flores Indonesia. It is made of palm wood or bamboo. It has a small delicate, bottle shaped frame which is split to produce a long vibrating tongue frame [lamella] that narrows towards one end.
At the other end is a piece of string about 10 cm in length, and is pulled by the playing using an attached small stick. The body is about 15 cm to 20 cm in length and its width varies between 1.5 cm to 2 cm.
