Description: The Goong or Dinh Goong is a multi-stringed bamboo tube zither that is played by the Gia Rai people of the Central Vietnamese Islands. It is usually played by young men as an instrument of entertainment or to accompany singing.

Playing Techniques: The goong has at least one gourd resonator that is alternately held against the chest and pulled away to create an audible “wah-wah” type effect.
